Our journey into preparedness

Beredskapsurvival began (ne Ambilac safe survival| 1999) with a simple belief: everyone deserves the knowledge and skills to be self-sufficient and prepared for the unexpected. Our passion for survival, off-grid living, and homesteading drives us to share valuable insights and practical guidance with our community. We are based in Swansea, United Kingdom, and committed to fostering resilience.

Our mission and vision

In 1999 I formed one of the first survival and preparedness information sites on the web, it was called Ambilac safe survival, and ran for over 24 years until 2025 when the host provider shut down.

I have collated all the information gathered from the humble beginnings of the original site, links, advice on any natural and man made disasters, homesteading and basic preparedness, and will be transferring to this new site, Beredskapsurvival. Incidentally, 'Beredskap' is a Norwegian word meaning preparedness, readiness, or emergency contingency, describing a state of being ready to act or handle a sudden crisis.

The original idea of the website was to help individuals with the tools and information needed to live a more independent and prepared life. We envision a world where everyone possesses the confidence and capability to adapt and thrive, regardless of circumstances.
